Good Health Guide - Injuries to the skin
A familiar situation?
When children play and run around, grazes are a common occurrence – as are painful contusions or bruises obtained at work or during free time. A cut on the finger from peeling vegetables, the unintentional touch of a hot hob or a painful insect bite: minor injuries to the skin have many causes.
Combined in several compositions, a number of medicinal plants can help us at the time of injury: dwarf nettles (Urtica urens) and arnica (Arnica montana) have analgesic, anti-swelling properties. Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) and white cedar (Thuja occidentalis) foster the healing process. Echinacea (Echinacea pallida) and marigold (Calendula officinalis) are known for their wound-healing and antiinflammatory properties.
